A Journey of Self-Discovery: Embracing Truth

"I open myself to inner wisdom, knowing a higher intelligence is within me. Out of this inner intelligence come all the answers, solutions, healing, and artistic creations."

The Complexity of Truth

As I delve deeper into my experiences, I realize that truth is a complex tapestry woven from various threads. There’s the objective truth, the verifiable facts that exist independently of my beliefs. Then there’s the subjective truth, the lens through which I interpret the world. Finally, there’s the spiritual truth, the profound understanding that connects me to something greater than myself.

I find myself drawn to the interplay between these different facets of truth. My personal experiences shape my subjective understanding, but I also seek to align my beliefs with objective reality. Through introspection and exploration, I strive to uncover the spiritual truths that resonate with my soul.

This journey of self-discovery has led me to a deeper appreciation for the complexity of human experience. It has taught me that truth is not a fixed entity but a dynamic process of exploration and understanding.

The Thrill of Self-Discovery

Only by developing the skill of self-confidence can we truly embark on the most thrilling adventure of our lives: discovering our true selves. Taking a step back and honestly telling the truth about what is instead of what we think is in our lives requires courage and fortitude.

Three Keys to Change Your Life

In my journey of self-discovery, I learned three things. If you want to change your life, you must do three things:

1. Support

You must have someone in place who is going to hold you accountable and support you as you make changes. You must first learn how to captain your ship before expecting others to rise to your level. Trying to change without a like-minded, supportive community is like driving around with a patched tire. You get pumped up when you find support and then deflate emotionally when you return to the same old patterns.

95% of the clients I have worked with succeed in making the changes they want to make when they have support. Without support, most of us slip back into a numb place—not quite happy, but not miserable enough to do something about it.

2. Take Action

You must take action today! Because today is the only day you live. Not tomorrow, not yesteryear, but today! Only today can you change your life. Walk through the door of change here.

3. Self-Confidence

You must develop the skill of self-confidence. The only reason you may feel unfulfilled, unloved, emotionally empty, and emotionally numb is that you have learned to have confidence in things outside of you—like driving, going to work, and bathing—but not in yourself. These qualities come when you love yourself unconditionally through developing self-confidence.

Self-confidence helps you define what you really want in life. If you can’t articulate what makes you happy, how can you live a happy life? What do you really want? What are you standing up for? If not now, when?
